SHARON KOTKOVSKY
Re(DE)constructing Me - a Dance Theatre Performance
What are the building blocks of life? Can they be counted, replaced, reshaped? How do they change over the course of a life in different places?
Re(DE)constructing Me is a dance theatre performance that explores the complex theme of immigration and belonging.
Sharon Kotkovsky reflects on her personal experiences of deconstructing and reconstructing identity— as a Jewish Israeli, mother, and artist living in Potsdam.
The performance raises questions of belonging, cultural adaptation, and Jewish identity in contemporary Germany.
On stage are Sharon, as actress and dancer, and Martin Krauß, who composed the music and performs it live.
